iOS App
The AreaScore iOS app does not collect any personal data. Specifically:
- We do not require account creation or login
- We do not collect your name, email address, or contact details
- We do not collect or store your location
- Postcodes you search are sent to our API to retrieve scores but are not stored or linked to you
- App preferences (such as recent searches and settings) are stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults and are never transmitted to our servers
Crash Reporting
The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports. This helps us fix bugs and improve stability. Crashlytics may collect device model, OS version, and stack traces in the event of a crash. No personally identifiable information is collected. Website
We collect information you provide directly on our website:
- Email address — when you sign up for our waitlist or newsletter
- Postcode — optionally, if you choose to share which area you're interested in
We may also automatically collect certain information when you visit our website, including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited through standard web analytics.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the AreaScore app and website

App preferences are stored locally on your device and never leave it. Website email addresses are stored securely using Loops, a third-party email platform. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorised access.
